When floor space is restricted, architecture must push upwards. Floor-to-ceiling built-in cabinetry provides immense storage capacity while masquerading as interior walls. By painting these storage units the same color as the surrounding plaster, they recede visually, preventing the room from feeling cramped. Flexible furniture, such as drop-leaf dining tables or modular seating blocks, allows a single room to adapt seamlessly from a quiet home office into an evening dining space.
